You may have noticed a new flashing lighthouse sign next to the playground on the old Bass Highway lately and wondered what was coming.
Well, wonder no longer, this is the brand new Wynyard Beach store and takeaway business.
I dropped in on Sunday to have a chat with the proprietor Peta Jacobson and find out a bit more. The food looks and smells great, the shop has been refloored, refurbished and it gleams! They must be doing something right, as one customer returned several times and bought five burgers in a two day period.
Opening hours will be 5.30am–7pm weekdays and 8am–7pm on weekends.
As Peta said: “If the sign is flashing then we are open for business”.
Peta also said: “We are here for the community, if there is something that people would like then just let us know and we shall see if we can organise it”.
Phone orders can be rung through on 0482 674 784 and I can vouch for the coffee — it is good! You can even sit and read the Echo in there.
